AQUAMAG® For Kraft Peroxide Bleaching

Background

Currently many kraft bleach plants in the U.S. do not chelate metals prior to the peroxide stages. With the increased cost of bleaching chemicals, it has become important to optimize the effectiveness of the bleaching process.

Application

AQUAMAG® is a low cosdfgt chelant which improves the bleaching process and reduces operating costs. AQUAMAG®, magnesium hydroxide slurry, is typically added at the washer repulper on the D0 washer.
